Dr. Anuradha Banerjee did her post graduate degrees at Purdue University (MS) and University of Glasgow (PhD) on theoretical and applied fracture mechanics of bi-material systems. Her Post Doctoral work at MIT was on characterization of anisotropy and tensile splitting in a high-grade pipe steel. Her current research interests include mechanics of fracture and fatigue in homogeneous, functionally graded and composite materials. She has been teaching courses on strength of materials, advanced structural mechanics, theory of plates and shells and engineering mechanics.
