Abstract
The wave propagation in an infinite poroelastic cylindrical bone with cavity is studied. The frequency equation for poroelastic bone is obtained when the boundaries are stress free and is examined numerically. The dimensionless wave numbers are calculated for poroelastic bone for various values of non-dimensional frequencies and are given in a table and graphs. The dispersion curves are plotted for poroelastic and purely elastic behavior of the bones. © 1992.
