Abstract
The DC link current contains much information about the phase currents, in pulse-width-modulated three-phase voltage source inverters. Using a single current sensor, only partial information about the phase currents can be obtained. In this paper, a high-speed curve-fitting observer has been used to reconstruct the three-phase currents. The reconstructed phase currents are fed back to the current control circuit. The control loop operates satisfactorily to maintain a sinusoidal three-phase load current. The observer is robust under steady and dynamic conditions. The simulation has been carried out in PSPICE.
