Finite element analysis of natural convection in the active corners of a square cavity

Abstract
Numerical results are reported for two cases of (1) a differentially heated comer region with a cold wall on the top as well as a comer formed by a cold vertical wall and a heated horizontal wall and (2) a cavity heated from below and partially cooled along one side. Finite element simulations indicate several interesting features of the flow structures in these two cases. © 1991 by Hemisphere Publishing Corporation.
