Abstract
In an earlier paper the authors have presented a phenomenological model based on P. N. Keating's approach to explain the lattice dynamics, third order elastic constants and thermal expansion of white tin. In this note, the same model is used to calculate the temperature dependence of probability of the anisotropic Mossbauer effect in tin. The agreement with experiment is found to be satisfactory.
