Abstract
We present a 0.1-10 Gb/s voltage-mode transmitter with a 0.2-1.0Vpp,diff output swing and a 2-tap FIR equalizer. It is configured as a P-over-N or N-over-N structure for high and low swings, respectively. Fabricated in a TSMC 65nm CMOS LP process, and operated under a 1.2V supply, the transmitter dissipates 10.3 and 36mW at 0.1 and 10 Gb/s, respectively, for 1Vpp,diff output swing. The power reduces to 27mW for 0.2Vpp,diff output swing at 10 Gb/s. © 2018 IEEE.
