Abstract
Metal cutting is a complicated phenomenon which often brings plasticity into picture. In general, modeling of plasticity is relatively tough task. A detailed literature about manufacturing processes has been presented. The orthogonal metal cutting problem is highlighted. The stress and strain patterns of commonly used engineering materials like Aluminum-Copper and Mild Steel has bene presented. Elasto-plastic analysis has been employed in this study. TO reduce the core memory present day most effective sky line technique is incorporated. LDL T is used for the solution of simultaneous equations.
