Abstract
Strategies of an interceptor are decided by a mission planner based on mission-critical constraints in an interceptor-target engagement or interdiction mission. After a target gets locked-on, the mission planner has to make a decision about initiation of interceptor maneuver to contain or capture the target in a desired way. In several scenarios, this necessitates a delay in the initiation of interceptor maneuver. This paper studies the effect of such an initial delay on the capture performance of interceptor. © 2019 IEEE.
