I am an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras since March 2019. My current research interests include materials and electronic devices for non-volatile memory applications and neuromorphic computation, ultra-low power transistors for logic applications, photonic neuromorphic circuits, bio-inspired and bio-integrable electronics and other emerging technologies for non-Von Neumann computational frameworks. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013, M.Tech from Jadavpur University in 2007 and B.Tech from University of Calcutta in 2005 respectively.
Prior to joining IIT Madras I was a post doctoral scholar at the University of Chicago (with Prof. Supratik Guha) where I was involved in the development of low-power resistive memories and selector switches. I have also worked as a post-doc at the University of California Santa Barbara (with Prof. Dmitri Strukov) where I was working on memristive networks for neuromorphic applications. My doctoral research with Prof. Eric Vogel was aimed at investigating high-k dielectrics and novel 2-dimensional materials for developing low power resistive memory devices.
