The wave loading on an inclined cylinder was investigated by measuring the dynamic pressures for different wave conditions. Experiments were carried out in a wave basin of 30m × 30m subjected to the action of random and directional waves. The tests were conducted with cylinder inclined along and against the wave direction. The sleeve forces were obtained by integrating the measured circumferential variation of dynamic pressures. The effect of wave directionality on the measured pressures and sleeve forces were presented in the form of rms force ratio.
