Abstract
A recently developed Al-Mg-Mn alloy by the Alcan International Ltd., Canada was investigated to evaluate its high temperature tensile flow behaviour and room temperature formability under biaxial stress state conditions. The alloy was found to be highly suitable for manufacture of aircraft components and automotive stampings via both the superplastic forming route as well as conventional forming techniques.
