This chapter provides an overview of security issues in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). If first describes the security requirements followed by common attacks and threats in such networks. Then, some of the important security mechanisms such as encryption/decryption, key management and distribution are presented. This is followed by description of implementations of security mechanisms available in current generation WSN operating systems such as TinyOS. © 2010 by World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
