Abstract
A description regarding the details of vibration measurement has been given specifically with the details of blasting, dynamic analysis of berthing structure, peak particle velocities (PPV) of berthing structure, a comparison with the various international standards, and finally an evaluation of the safety of berthing structure. In addition, several topics include: the monitoring of the response of berthing structure during the underwater blasting for rock dredging; the increase of water depth from 8/9 to 12.8 m in order to facilitate the navigation of 10.7 m draught vessels; to match with the water depth of the other depths; and finally to increase the cargo capacity of berth from 0.505 to 1.5 million tonne per annum.
