The quantification of damage in carbon fiber reinforced plastic composite laminates subjected with post-impact fatigue loading conditions using digital image processing technique is presented in this paper. The damage progression in the post-impact, post-cycling under constant amplitude and variable amplitude fatigue loading conditions are quantified through image analysis of the X-ray computed tomography (CT) scan images. The estimated damage is compared with that of bare-impacted specimens to understand the effect of fatigue loading on damage progression. The results are correlated with the stiffness degradation that was estimated from fatigue tests; a good correlation is found between damage volume and stiffness degradation.
