Abstract
Under a constant pressure gradient (i) asymmetric flow through stenosed parallel plates, and (ii) axisymmetric flow through a stenosed circular tube are considered. It is found that the upstream pressure in a configuration with stenosis is greater than the corresponding pressure in Poiseuille flow having the same volume flux and downstream pressure. © 1989.
