Predictive Average Current Control Considering Non-Idealities for a Boost PFC Converter
Published in Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.
2018
Abstract
The design of the current control loop in a boost PFC converter plays a significant role due to the large signal variations in the input waveforms. A predictive average current control law based on triangular modulation considering the converter non-idealities, time variation of waveforms and computation delays is proposed and validated with simulation and experimental results. A digital method for the boost inductance value estimation is also proposed which could be used with predictive current control laws. © 2018 IEEE.
