Abstract
At hotspots, the individuals may gain a significant contribution to their daily total exposure in a short period of time. The concentration profiles of PM show large variability with respect to space and time depending on the site specific activities. It is observed that the personal exposure at hotspots is significantly higher compared to the urban background site. Need of hotspot based monitoring which can complement the existing fixed monitoring bybLern for better air quality management in urban areas.
