The paper presents development of performance prediction models for the low volume rural roads constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram SadakYojana (PMGSY) program in India. Periodical data on performance of the low volume rural roads were collected from different regions of the country. The data were collected during the pre and post-monsoon period for three years. Pavement deterioration models were developed to predict cracking, rutting, raveling, roughness and deflection progressions. These models are validated and the various factors influencing the deterioration of low volume rural roads are presented. The models can be used to predict the performance of the low volume roads in developing countries and for development of pavement maintenance management system. © Copyright 2016 by Mairepav8 2016 Organizers.
