Based on void growth in power law creep, a simple parametric approach is proposed to predict long time creep life from short time data. The parameter does not contain any arbitrary constants and can be applied to different types of materials. There is no systematic scatter of data in the master curve - a problem often encountered with other types of parameters. The analysis is applied to OFHC copper, the superalloy S590, stainless steel, and Nimonic 105.
