Abstract
Crystalline electric field (CEF) analysis of the magnetization data of Dy0.73Tb0.27Co2 in the temperature range 20-200 K is reported. The components of the g-tensor are calculated from the wavefunction for the CEF ground doublet. The contributions to the quadrupole interaction at the Dy nucleus are evaluated and hence the total hyperfine energy levels of the 161Dy nucleus are calculated from the fit results to the magnetization data. © 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
