By analyzing 2.93 fb-1 of e+e- annihilation data taken at the center-of-mass energy s=3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, we determine the branching fractions of the inclusive decays D+→φX and D0→φX to be (1.135±0.034±0.031)% and (1.091±0.027±0.035)%, respectively, where X denotes any possible particle combination. The first uncertainties are statistical, and the second are systematic. We also determine the branching fractions of the decays D→φX and their charge conjugate modes D→φX separately for the first time, and no significant CP asymmetry is observed. © 2019 authors. Measurements of the coherence factor RK3π, the average strong-phase difference δDK3π and mean amplitude ratio rDK3π for the decay D→K-π+π+π- are presented. These parameters are important inputs to the determination of the unitarity triangle angle γ in B-→DK- decays, where D designates a superposition of D0 and D-0 mesons decaying to a common final state. The results are based on a combined fit to observables obtained from a re-analysis of the CLEO-c ψ(3770) data set and those measured in a D0D-0 mixing study performed by the LHCb Collaboration. © 2016 The Authors.

Improved determination of the D→K-π+π+π- coherence factor and associated hadronic parameters from a combination of e+e-→ψ(3770)→cc- and

Recent studies of several multi-body D0 meson decays have revealed that the final states are dominantly CP-even. However, the small value of the width difference between the two physical eigenstates of the D0-D0 system indicates that the total widths of decays to CP-even and CP-odd final states should be the same to within about a percent. The known contributions to the width difference from hadronic D0 decays are discussed, and it is shown that an apparent excess of quasi-CP-even modes is balanced, within current uncertainty, by interference effects in quasi-flavour-specific decays. Decay modes which may significantly affect the picture with improved measurements are considered. © 2015 The Authors.

Contributions to the width difference in the neutral D system from hadronic decays

Quantum-correlated ψ(3770)→DD decays collected by the CLEO-c experiment are used to perform a first measurement of F+4π, the fractional CP-even content of the self-conjugate decay D→π+π-π+π-, obtaining a value of 0.737±0.028. An important input to the measurement comes from the use of D→KS0π+π- and D→KL0π+π- decays to tag the signal mode. This same technique is applied to the channels D→π+π-π0 and D→K+K-π0, yielding F+πππ0=1.014±0.045±0.022 and F+KKπ0=0.734±0.106±0.054, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. These measurements are consistent with those of an earlier analysis, based on CP-eigenstate tags, and can be combined to give values of F+πππ0=0.973±0.017 and F+KKπ0=0.732±0.055. The results will enable the three modes to be included in a model-independent manner in measurements of the unitarity triangle angle γ using B∓→DK∓ decays, and in time-dependent studies of CP violation and mixing in the D0D0 system. © 2015 The Authors.
