Abstract
In case of two ships in motion, one in the proximity of another, the hydrodynamic interactions are of significant importance, specially when the ships operate in restricted waterways. This interaction effect is more magnified in shallow water. The direction of the motion of the ships also has a considerable effect on the forces. This paper presents the hydrodynamic effects between two ships during mid-sea replenishment and harbour transit.
