This work details the experimental and analytical procedures related to the quantification of dynamic modulus for Bitumen Stabilized Material (BSM). It is shown that the existing dynamic modulus test protocol followed for Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) cannot be used for BSM material due to certain anomalies noticed in phase lag and strain evolution. To address such issues, this investigation proposes a new test protocol. The experimental data collected using this new test protocol is analyzed and only such data exhibiting compliance to linear viscoelasticity is used in the estimation of dynamic modulus. It is shown that considerable disparity exists in the measurement of dynamic modulus estimated using the existing method suited for HMA and the proposed method for BSM. © 2016 Elsevier Ltd
