Abstract
Based on the polarographic and cyclic voltammetric studies on the behavior of the coupled product of p-anisidine and meldrum's acid in methanol-water mixtures of different compositions, a mechanism is suggested for the 4 electron reduction of the title compound leading to the formation of amino products in acidic and neutral solutions.
