The effect of magnesium oxide (MgO) on mullitization behavior of clays was studied. The clays were crushed and beneficiated to remove the impurities as per standard methods. The beneficiated clays were mixed with MgO and water and wet milled for half an hour in a planetary mill using alumina milling media.
