Abstract
The present work deals with the Active vibration control of composite beams using finite element method. The effect of fiber orientation on the natural frequency and damping of the system is investigated. The effect of in plane, normal to shear coupling effect, which is a characteristic of composite materials is analyzed by using two different beam models.
